would you rent an Hermes?

Usually, one can only wish to touch, hold and carry a Balenciaga or an Hermes purse as they're exclusive, elusive and expensive. So if you're low on budget and would rather pay the rent than purchase a bag but couldn't fight the urge, you may want to check this site  - http://www.avelle.com/

It's a website for the bag hags who cannot afford to buy these coveted and uber expensive purses but are sooo willing to rent 'em out. All you need to do is sign in and pay a membership fee of $60 and viola, that Prada you're eyeing for is not far from reach no more (but I am pretty sure it's only applicable to the US residents).

Personally, I am not that thrilled with this idea. I'd rather work my ass off to buy one for myself rather than strut it knowing I just loaned it.

Well, to each his own.

Japan's quirky fashion sense

I was asked by a friend/officemate to look for pegs on tokyo fashion as he needs it for his upcoming  February wedding with "Manila to Tokyo" as their theme. I was of course more than willing to do so but what hampered me on where to start is which site to look into. And then I stumbled upon http://www.tokyofashion.com/.

I went gaga over Japan's fashion sense as the outfits range from wearable and acceptable to outrageous and out of this world (actually only in Japan. haha!). Very quirky and crazy indeed! Actually, seeing their outfits made me want to go to Japan and dress like them (feeling ko walang baduy baduy dun! haha!)

I must say, only the Japs can pull these off! :)

The Colonel has arrived!!!

Yes, I got my Longchamp (Jeremy Scott edition - in bilberry) last December 14 when  Marco's dad's balikbayan box finally arrived. He ordered from the Longchamp's webbie and arrived in Chicago (where his dad lives) a few days after. I had to wait for more than a month but I tell you, it was worth the wait. I got thrilled when i finally got it! Love, love, love!

(Longchamp delivered it to Marco's dad's house in Chicago)

(it was packed in this moss green envelope)

longchamp suit pliage

just when i thought my longchamp craving has died down, i saw this pic from chuvaness.com and my heart skipped a bit.
i want that black suit pliage (extreme left).

JWTwenties Party!

We so rocked the holidays! As usual, the tribe partied in style... 1920's fashion that is.

Last December 17, Manila Hotel (Champagne Room) became  Juniper Salon and housed the fabulous flappers and gorgeous men in suits (and trekkies too. haha! - yes from Star Trek!).
SKAbeche made a fabulous performance that made the people dance like there was no tomorrow. GCs (overnight stay, buffet dinner and SPA) from Manila Hotel as well as cash prizes were given away.

It was ROARING 20's indeed!

(Below are some of the crazy photos from the party)

The Colonel

I can't wait for you to finally arrive, my dear Colonel!!!
I know, I know I should be patient though I sometimes couldn't help it.
I just couldn't keep you out of my head.
December 14...get your ass here quickly!

that's why it makes me sad whenever i attempt to attach photos and it goes on error.

it comes in threes

as they say, misfortune comes in threes.

1st - i forgot my laptop at home and i just realized that i left it when i was already halfway to makati. i had to drive back and get that freaking laptop. imagine me shouting inside the car, cursing carelessly like a sailor. i could've reached the office at 9:30am IF i didn't forget to bring it.

2nd - my crazy IBM office laptop conked out when i was about to present to the client. it made that friggin' "ambulance" sound that i had to shamefully shove it back inside my laptop bag. useless piece of crap!

3rd - the worst thing that happened to me yesterday for the whole west block of Bonifacio High Street to see was i hit my head hard on the van's entrance. it was so hard i shouted so loud that it freaked out some by standers. worse, i was on the phone talking to the client when it happened. arrggghhhh!!!

monday, oh monday! how cruel and unforgiving and sadly, i was the innocent victim.

do you have FAD?

Do you have FAD (Facebook Addiction Disorder)? If you spend more than an hour ogling on it, you lose sleep over it, you can't help but sneak into facebook-ing while at work...then you have FAD!

sleep deprived

it's already 5:17 am and we're still up to man the shoot. the sun will soon rise and the camera is still grinding. i hope it will end soon. my bed is already calling me. my eyes are getting droopy. my senses are already getting numb.

i am so tempted to take a quick nap but half of me is fighting off this feeling. i need to stay awake for the next 3 hours and i am secretly hoping it'll not go beyond that anymore.

pimples, don't break out. i have a wedding to attend to this sunday. if i had it my way, i would be sound asleep by this time but the call of duty says otherwise.

i am already sleep deprived! can't wait to hit the sack but i just remembered, i still need to drive back home. uh-oh!

ondoy, what have you done?

today, september 26, typhoon "ondoy" has wreaked havoc in metro manila. omg! heaven help us!
_______

update: sept 27 (sunday), i am stuck in makati. took refuge in marco's place in salcedo coming from unitel in reposo where we were shooting for a TVC. my sister who was stuck in shaw yesterday morning is still on the road as i update this blog. my mom got safely home this morning after being stranded in school yesterday and she told me thru text that our house in sta. mesa is submerged in water. the flood is chest deep.

honestly, i don't know what to do anymore. i feel restless. i am worried sick about my family. i know they need an extra hand to save whatever needs to be saved. they're tired, wet and famished.

lord, please help us! i am fervently praying that everything will be alright.

someone's using MET

Rihanna's skin seems fairer. I wonder if she uses MET :-)

P.S. I love her shoes and bubuyog shades

i don't know with you...

...but I don't think I am that insane for chocolates to try this one...

A Chocolate Pao!

(sold exclusively at Mini Stop)

vanity kicks in

I was never vain about my skin unlike other girls who'd die if they miss their weekly spa appointments. I can count with my fingers the times i went to a spa for a body scrub nor have i let a dermatologist touch my face but that doesn't mean i don't really take care of it. I have always found these treatments LAVISH. Even all those creams and lotions I find EXPENSIVE. Either I wait for the next "balikbayan boxes" to arrive having those Estees, Cliniques, Niveas, Bath and Body Works or I ask my mom to buy it for me.

Not until I woke up one Friday morning and I found my self staring long and worried at the mirror! Dear heavens, I am starting to have fine lines under my eyes! Marco was right, stress and unhealthy lifestyle are starting to take its toll on me.

The night before while we were having drinks, he took a close look at my face. He said I look tired and some fine lines are showing under my eyes. To my defense, I said they're not wrinkles, it's just smudged make-up. Secretly though, I was starting to worry. Weekend came and I hit the mall to find an anti-ageing cream.

All of them were saying the very same thing -- IT'LL MAKE YOU LOOK YOUNGER and FAIRER after XX amount of days. Darn! Not only were they expensive, their promises were too good to be true. I know, I know...I should know better since I am in the industry that can sell shit to the unassuming consumers.

After much contemplation, I finally gave in. I settled for Pond's Age Miracle Dual Eye Therapy Collagen + Chamomile Extract. The Collagen Cream works for the upper eye to reduce fine lines and crow's feet. The Chamomile Extract reduces puffiness and brightens dark circles and the good thing is IT WAS 50% OFF. How could you not resist?

Well I hope it'll work together with my Olay Total Effects Day Cream. :-P

insane in the membrane...

...insane in the brain! ackk! i feel like my veins want to break out of my temples and explode. migraine attack!

it's already 9:17pm...for crying out loud, IT'S A FRIDAY and my work is far from done. i have yet to shoot out emails, fix my schedules for the week, update WIP reports, download and save files, finish a deck...and the laundry list goes on...

If only I could be Barbie (in this pic) who can still smile despite being drilled, I'd be in her shoes in a heartbeat!

kanye west is a douche bag

how immature... to steal the limelight from a country lass who just won the "best female video" award which is actually her very 1st for MTV VMA and diss her just like that. taylor swift may not have that oomph like beyonce or kathy perry or lady gaga but she doesn't deserve being outdone on stage when it was her time to shine.

i am not a fan of taylor swift but i did feel for her after seeing this video...

kanye west may have made waves in the music industry but that doesn't give him the right to diss other budding artists. You don't need to be educated to know what's right or wrong. Such an a*s#oLe!

------------------
Anyway, Beyonce gave Taylor another chance to thank her fans when the former won "Best Video" for Single Ladies.

The douche bag finally came to his senses and apologized. Whatda?! The damage has been done Kanye!

thirty, flirty and thriving...

...as the 13 going 30 movie goes. well, actually that line doesn't even have a connection with what i want to blog about. haha!

marco will be 30 by the 11th already and i am running out of time and ideas to surprise him. i was supposed to make their band play before the rockeoke set at 121 this coming thursday as a salubong. unfortunately though, their drummer has work on thursday so the grand plan is now scrapped. i am left with NO PLAN B to work on. acck!

i am so stressed already. i know i should have planned it way ahead but my workload just keeps eating my free time.

i am in dire need of help! i will go insane.

must have a plan soon!

how much would you pay for a haircut?

i had may last haircut a month ago at azta urban salon in alabang town center. actually, they had to trim my mane before perming it. they could've charged me P600 for it but since the cost of perming my hair is already P3250, the haircut came for free! (not to mention i bought 3,+++ worth of hair products from them. the haircut should really be a bonus!)

how about you? how much are you willing to pay for a haircut? click this link http://www.stylebible.ph/poll.php?id=19 and vote now!

P.S. btw, i got featured in stylebible's "how much would you pay for a haircut" polls. hence the image above and the link. thanks cezie for the exposure! kilig. :-P
